The Love Saga of Shah Rukh Khan and His “Mannat”
During his initial days of acting career, Shah Rukh Khan lived in a 3-bedroom apartment at Shri Amrit Apartments on the Carter Road of Bandra West. While shooting for the film Yes Boss, the superstar was left mesmerised by the sprawling 26,328.52-square-foot mansion. At the time, the property was owned by Kekoo Gandhy, a Parsi man known for his role in developing the Jehangir Art Gallery. Its previous name was Villa Vienna.
Shah Rukh had to convince the owners for a very long time before being sold his “Mannat” for a whopping 13.32 Crores in 2001.
